Who We Are
In 2010, The Farm Bridge began as a small local food brand called Winter Sun Farms, buying fresh produce
from Hudson Valley NY farmers and preserving it all for distribution throughout the winter. We've grown into
a 30,000 sq ft production facility with 45 employees, including a highly-trained management team. TFB
produces local value-added foods as well as year-round pickles, soups, sauces, and fresh
cut vegetables and fruits.
In 2021, we are relocating to a new nearby location. We're excited to reuse and renew this space, and to design the facility we've always dreamed of. We'll be able to retain 100% of our team, and to grow that team as we expand our
production line capabilities. We look forward to this great opportunity to do more, make more, and bring
more income to regional farmers.
The heart of our work is to create and maintain good local jobs making wholesome foods that support
the resilience of our regional food-shed. We serve food entrepreneurs whose growing companies aim to
re-shape the food system with healthier, cleaner products and with an emphasis on local ingredients.
We play a role in local farm viability both by purchasing large volumes of local produce, and by helping
farmers preserve their harvest and extend their incomes with value-added goods. We continue to be a
leader in the farm-to-school initiative working with our local farmers to supply NY Grown and Certified
products to our regional schools.
