What We Do

Since 2005, ProsperRochester’s WellVentions initiative has evolved into our region’s only year-round legacy business run by youth teams, paying stipends to over 600 Rochester youth. Their permanent space at the Rochester Public Market serves as a vital training ground for youth transitioning into the job market - as they develop, test, and sell their products to generate income and support their mission. WellVentions exposes youth to career options in the business cycle - R&D, product proto-typing, commercialization, marketing, sales, and management.

WellVentions teen entrepreneurs also learn mental health literacy, essential job skills for success in life and in the workplace. They then develop and facilitate play-based lessons to mentor their younger peers in day care centers and schools.
